Inspiring Para-Kickboxing Demonstration Shines at WAKO World Cup Turkish Open

Antalya, Türkiye – On the final day of the WAKO World Cup Turkish Open, the spotlight turned to a Para-Kickboxing demonstration that captured the hearts of everyone present.

Three young athletes, each with their own story of resilience and strength, took to the tatami in a special showcase. Two boys, Omer El Kars and Kusay lbrahim from Syria and Bertug Umut Ozdemir from Türkiye delivered presentations, performing combat movements which were a testament to the spirit of inclusion, and unity.

This demonstration was more than an exhibition — it was a statement. A reminder that kickboxing is a sport for all, and that the values of perseverance, passion, and discipline know no boundaries.

Their presence symbolized  the ongoing commitment of WAKO to promote accessibility and equal opportunities in kickboxing.

Each of the young para-kickboxers received a well-deserved medal, handed out by WAKO Vice President Salim Kayici.

The performance served as a highlight of the tournament’s final day and as a powerful closing note for the World Cup.
